In schools, colleges and lycées throughout France, from March 26th to 31st, Social and Solidarity Economy at School Week raises awareness of collective entrepreneurship among more than 4,000 students.
Formerly “Cooperation Week at School”, the “SSE Week at School” is now back in schools, meeting students for a second edition. The aim of this operation is to promote the social and solidarity economy and raise awareness among young people of collective entrepreneurship.
Supported by the Office central de la coopération à l’école (OCCE), Coop FR and ESPER (l’Economie sociale partenaire de l’école de la République), the action takes place everywhere in France, from 26 to 31 March.
More than 170 initiatives are registered on the dedicated website www.semaineessecole.coop. Once registered, the shares are valued thanks to the hashtag #SESSE2018 on Twitter accompanied by a photo and a comment. Find all the actions that bring SSE to life at the School on the interactive map.
The launch of the SSE Week at the School took place on March 26 at Marcel Pagnol College in Tonnay-Boutonne, with the participation of the co-organizers, the entire team of the college and representatives of the National Education. They discovered together a citizen project, with the projection of a web-documentary on SSE made by students, followed by a debate. Loïc Pelletier, President of the Fédération nationale des coopératives de consommateurs (FNCC) and Coop Atlantique, represented Coop FR as Vice-President. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Cooperation for the teaching of the cooperative model.
M. Pagnol College has been involved in an educational project centred on the discovery of the territory and SSE since September 2016, with the “Mon ESS à l’école” scheme in partnership with L’ESPER, CRESS Nouvelle Aquitaine, MGEN and EPLE. The aim of this project is to enable about thirty pupils in 5th, 4th and 3rd grades to live in solidarity, to develop their civic commitment, to develop their spirit of initiative and to discover their territory.
